Tim and I spent the weekend at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.  We were in town for my brother’s wedding, and the weather was HOT!  The grounds at The Grand are seriously gorgeous , it was a perfect opportunity to take some photos and share with you what I packed!

White Denim – These Rocket Highwaist Crop Skinny jeans are by Citizen of Humanity.  They have sold this particular fit, Rocket Highwaist, for a few years now and it’s one of my favorites!  I love that their fabrics are stretchy but they don’t become baggy even after many wears.  Great white jeans are hard to find.  This particular pair is also fabulous because it isn’t see through.  That is one of my biggest struggles with white denim, feeling that the fabric is too sheer.  These are currently available at Nordstrom and several other retailers.  I recommend sizing down.

Suede Mules – I picked up this pair last year, but I’ve seen a few other similar styles available lately including this suede pair by Halogen that is under $100.  The heel is 2.5” which is perfect for a casual shoe.  I love heels, but have a hard time walking around for very long in 4” ones.  These are a great height for strolling around town.

Top – This Mint Julep top by Free People comes in Red, White, & Black.  It can be worn on or off the shoulder.  The sides of the top are shorter than the front and back which makes for a flattering cut.  This is a fun top for summer, as a dressed up answer to a t-shirt.  IMG_3172.JPG

One Piece – The Roped up One Piece by Blue Life is one of my favorite swimsuits of summer.  The cut is super flattering and you can buy it in black or clay.  The clay color is really gorgeous as well.

I just adore the low back on this swimsuit.  The high cut makes my legs look longer too, which I totally appreciate 😉 The Grand has some great poolside snacks including guacamole with toasted flat bread, and skinny Margaritas.

The lace up detail was my number one reason for picking this suit.  It’s a nod to a nautical theme without being red, white, or blue.  I mean, who doesn’t love nautical?  Also… check out the details on this fabric, it’s textured and beautiful!

Cover Up – This sweet little Charlotte Daisy Ruana is by Guess.  I choose it to go with the below bikini, but it goes perfectly with this one piece as well.  It is intended to be worn on your shoulders, but it also looks great tied at the waist.

Gingham Bikini – You may have heard of A Bikini A Day and the two best friends Tash and Dev that founded it, but if you don’t know who they are check out their site!  They are amazing boss babes.  I was so excited when I heard they came out with a swimwear collaboration with Guess.  This bikini top and bottom are from their collection.  They sized some of the tops like a bra, which I absolutely love.  I wish more swimwear lines did the same because it truly lends to a better fit.

A Floral Dress – I picked up this Mimi Mini Dress by Flynn Skye at a local boutique in Denver called Melrose & Madison, it is also available on Revolve.  The silhouette is perfect for a hot summer day!IMG_3289.JPG

I wore the red mules, but you could pick a number of colors that would work well with this dress.  IMG_3290.JPG

The back is the highlight of this one!  Ruffles down each shoulder strap and a low cut closure.  IMG_3287.JPG

The tie front is adorable along with the additional ruffles at the waist.

So if you find yourself in Utah this summer, be sure to dress for the heat!  Staying at The Grand was one of my favorite parts of the trip.  The pool, the gardens, the insanely beautiful finishes all over the hotel!
