Hi Beauties,

I think we all own a dress we’ve worn to a wedding that has ended up just sitting in the closet after one wear.  I have a solution, dress it down!  I hate to admit it but I struggle wearing the same dress twice.  I have to change up the accessories to make it feel fresh and new.  Here are some tips on how to make that happen.

Here I’ve paired a Parker New York dress with The Leather Street Shoe by Everlane, and a denim vest by Free People.  I love these shoes because they have a small platform to them and a slight point at the toe.  Definitely size up a half size because these babies run small! The Parker dress I’m wearing is from last year, as this is all about re-purposing what you already own, but you can find other gorgeous Parker dresses here.

IMG_2618.JPGThe Vest!  This is practically vintage because I got it during my junior year of college.  When I’m shopping I never can tell what those irreplaceable items are going to end up being, but this one stuck!  There are a few reasons this vest works with this dress.  The fade of the denim complements the print of the dress, it’s a little distressed which contrasts well with the silk fabric, and it is cropped & fitted so it doesn’t detract from the silhouette of the dress.  Wearing a loose jean jacket with a dress wouldn’t have the same effect.  The vest is no longer available, but here is a fitted Free People jacket option, and a fitted white denim vest option by Cupcakes and Cashmere.

IMG_2619.JPGOrange “Geraldine” lipstick by Nars for a pop of color, and my favorite handbag by Louis Vuitton just because.

IMG_2631.JPGThese sunnies by Karen Walker go with everything, but I choose them for this outfit because they matched my shoes!

Okay, babes!  I hope you revisit your closet and those beautiful dressy dresses I know you have, and find a fun way to re-style them!  Hit me up with any question you have 😉
